She strongly believes that lifestyle factors such as nutrition, exercise, and stress management play a large role in determining quality and quantity of life. She endeavors to guide her patients on the best path to take
control of their health.

In college, she was a volunteer student clinician the former Jeanie Schmidt Free Clinic in Herndon, VA, where she gained significant insight into the healthcare challenges facing the low‐income communities. During residency, Dr. Kepple traveled to the Dominican Republic as a clinical preceptor for a medical mission trip, where she taught rising physicians as they brought much needed medical attention to the people of Punta Cana. Back in South Carolina, Dr. Kepple formed a group called “LEG Up” (Lifestyle Enhancement Group) which aimed to bring nutrition and lifestyle medicine education to clinic patients and fellow residents. Dr. Kepple was recognized as a Nutrition Advocate by the Joe R. Utley Heart Resource Center for her efforts to help organize educational events for patients and fellow clinicians. Serving others has been a priority for Dr. Kepple throughout her education and training, and she hopes to continue this in the Northern Virginia area.

Knowing she wanted to be closer to family, Dr. Kepple returned to northern Virginia in July 2020 and began working at a busy urgent care center. While this high‐volume patient care experience enhanced her clinical skills and medical decision making, it further demonstrated the importance of continuity and more personalized primary care. Dr. Kepple is excited for the opportunity to develop strong doctor/patient relationships while fulfilling her passion for active listening, diagnostics, patient education, and shared decision making to the EHS team.

Dr. Kepple lives on her small horse farm in Warrenton, Virginia with two thoroughbreds, two miniature horses, four cats and a retired foxhound. She has had her 20‐year‐old thoroughbred, Yankee, for the past 12 years since he retired from the racetrack. They spent many happy years competing in local events. Dr. Kepple’s other thoroughbred, who is just a baby, is currently training up to fill Yankee’s shoes over the next several years.

Dr. Kepple loves to stay hands‐on; in addition to taking care of all the animals and land on her farm, she is thrilled to be learning about household maintenance, from changing light fixtures to safely taking down a load‐bearing wall! She also bakes her own natural sourdough bread regularly, loves to cook (mostly plant‐based recipes these days), and maintains a vegetable garden for fresh ingredients.

Dr. Kepple is now accepting new clients and is available for client care and support at our Reston office location.
